Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly capable and experienced Senior Associate or VP to join its Turnaround & Restructuring team in Miami. Senior Associates are integral to the success of the firm's engagements-leading workstreams, managing client relationships, and driving execution. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in restructuring who are ready to take on greater leadership and client-facing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead critical workstreams on turnaround and restructuring engagements, including liquidity management, operational assessments, and strategic planning.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models, including 13-week cash flow forecasts, business plan reviews, and recovery analyses.
  • Prepare and present client deliverables, including board presentations, stakeholder updates, and court filings.
  • Collaborate with clients, legal counsel, lenders, and other stakeholders to support restructuring strategies, including both in-court (Chapter 11) and out-of-court solutions.
  • Mentor and oversee junior team members, ensuring high-quality execution and professional development.
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including pitch materials and proposal development.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of total professional experience, with at least 4 years in turnaround, restructuring, or bankruptcy advisory.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; advanced Excel proficiency is required.
  • Deep understanding of restructuring processes, including bankruptcy proceedings, creditor negotiations, and distressed M&A.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced credentials (e.g., CPA, CFA, CIRA) are a plus.

Expected Compensation:

Base Salary: $175k - $200k

Discretionary Bonus: 50% - 75%+
