Location: Remote (Eligible states: CT, DE, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VT)
Salary Range: $104,000 - $155,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
About the Role:
Seeking a Senior Associate Actuary to lead actuarial efforts for Auto & Umbrella insurance segments. This role is responsible for pricing, reserving, modeling, and performance analysis to support business growth and profitability. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage actuarial analysts, and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own financial performance for assigned business segments
- Conduct pricing, reserving, and rate adequacy analysis
- Support reinsurance pricing and treaty negotiations
- Analyze market trends and competitor strategies
- Collaborate with Underwriting, Product, and Analytics teams
- Develop and monitor actuarial models and rating algorithms
- Ensure regulatory compliance and apply actuarial standards
- Lead and mentor actuarial analysts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field
- 7-15 years of actuarial experience
- ACAS designation (Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society)
- Completion of at least 6 actuarial exams
- Strong knowledge of P&C insurance products
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, SAS, and Access
- Experience with pricing models; reserving experience a plus
