A fast-growing FinTech firm is seeking a Business Development Associate to support the expansion of its institutional client base. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with a passion for quantitative strategies and a strong interest in institutional sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and Qualify: Identify and research institutional prospects such as asset managers, pensions, family offices, and consultants.
- Sales Enablement: Support senior team members with presentations, RFPs, and client materials.
- Pipeline Management: Track sales activity and client engagement using CRM tools.
- Client Interaction: Help coordinate meetings, webinars, and follow-ups to build long-term relationships.
- Product Fluency: Develop a strong understanding of systematic investment strategies and communicate them effectively.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed on industry trends and competitor offerings to refine outreach strategies.
- Team Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with investment, research, marketing, and compliance teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience: 3-5 years in financial services, ideally in institutional sales, client service, or business development.
- Education: Bachelor's in Finance, Economics, or related field; CFA Level I/II a plus.
- Skills: Strong communication, CRM proficiency, and understanding of investment concepts such as factor investing and portfolio analytics.
- Mindset: Self-starter with a commercial drive and a collaborative, entrepreneurial spirit.
Preferred Attributes
- Familiarity with institutional investor segments such as pensions, sovereigns, and endowments.
- Interest in quantitative, macro, or systematic investing.
- Experience at a boutique asset manager, quant firm, or investment bank.
