Real Estate Private Equity Capital Raiser
Selby Jennings has been exclusively retained by a well-established and rapidly growing real estate investment firm in Ohio to identify a seasoned fundraising professional to lead capital raising efforts across the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) and high-net-worth (HNW) channels. This is a critical hire for the firm as it continues to scale its platform and expand its investor base across a diverse portfolio of real estate strategies.
The ideal candidate will bring 8-10 years of experience in capital formation, with a proven track record of raising capital from RIAs, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals. This role will be instrumental in building and maintaining long-term relationships with investors, developing strategic fundraising initiatives, and representing the firm's investment offerings with credibility and sophistication.
This is a high-visibility position that reports directly to the executive leadership team and offers the opportunity to shape the firm's capital markets strategy. The firm offers a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment with significant room for growth and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead capital raising efforts across RIA, family office, and HNW channels
- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with the firm's growth objectives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing investors
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, investor meetings, and networking events
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between fundraising, marketing, and investment strategies
- Provide feedback to leadership on investor sentiment, market trends, and product positioning
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of experience in capital raising within real estate investment or alternative asset management
- Deep network and established relationships within the RIA and HNW investor communities
- Strong understanding of real estate investment structures and financial products
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CAIA, CFP) a plus
