Quant Developer (Rust) | Low-Latency Trading

Our client is building a high-performance HFT platform in Rust and is looking for a Quantitative Software Engineer with deep technical expertise and hands-on experience in crypto markets-ideally from a market-making environment.

What You'll Do

  • Develop trading algorithms: Design and optimise low-latency, high-frequency trading strategies.
  • Build front-office systems: Develop systems for algorithmic trading, including data ingestion, risk management, live trading, and post-trade analysis.
  • Integrate with DeFi venues: Onboard real-time data feeds from decentralised finance protocols.
  • Backtest models: Evaluate trading strategies using historical data and refine them for performance.
  • Implement risk management: Build robust risk controls including stop-loss mechanisms and capital allocation limits.
  • Monitor systems: Ensure real-time system stability and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience with Rust in a production environment (this is a must).
  • Background in crypto trading, ideally with a market maker or HFT firm.
  • 2+ years of experience building HFT or trading systems.
  • Deep understanding of market microstructure, order books, and order state machines.
  • Strong low-level programming and performance optimisation skills.
