Product Technology Strategy Director | Big 4
Selby Jennings is working with a Big 4 looking to grow their team focused on Product Technology Strategy. This group works heavily with Private Equity companies looking for a deep dive product tech analysis into their portfolio companies, specifically in custom application, custom development, and digital architecture.
Ideal candidates are current Senior Manager or Directors withe a mix of operation/industry experience. Target backgrounds are in Venture Capital, or Business Strategy within a tech company with additional experience in Consulting. This group works at a fast pace, and is looking to bring a motivated Consultant to their growing team in San Francisco, New York, Seattle, or other locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with executive leadership to define and execute the product technology roadmap.
- Evaluate and optimize current tech stack, architecture, and development processes.
- Provide strategic guidance on product development, scalability, and innovation.
- Mentor product managers, engineers, and designers on best practices in product tech.
- Lead vendor/tool selection and implementation for product lifecycle management.
- Drive cross-functional alignment between product, engineering, design, and business teams.
- Support go-to-market strategies with technical insights and feasibility assessments.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, including product development.
- Proven experience as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or Product Tech Director.
- Strong understanding of modern tech stacks (e.g., cloud-native, microservices, APIs).
- Deep knowledge of product development methodologies (Agile, Lean, etc.).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in consulting or advisory roles is a strong plus.
