Private Equity VP
Key Responsibilities:
- Support senior leadership in identifying attractive investment themes, market mapping, and originating proprietary opportunities. Lead initial screening, financial modelling, and full commercial/financial assessment of potential acquisitions.
- Take ownership of core workstreams across transactions, including financial diligence, valuation, structuring, and process management.
- Coordinate advisors (legal, commercial, financial, tax) and manage timelines to ensure efficient, high‑quality execution.
- Support bolt‑on acquisitions, refinancing activity, and exit planning processes.
- Develop board materials and maintain a robust understanding of each portfolio company's performance trajectory.
- Mentor and guide Associates/Analysts within the deal team.
Experience
- The ideal candidate should have around 4-10 years in private equity (growth, buyout, mid‑market preferred). Along with exceptional financial modelling capabilities, with the ability to assess complex capital structures and investment scenarios.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand market trends, competitive landscapes, and value creation levers, demonstrated through a strong track record supporting or leading successful transactions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including experience preparing investment papers and liaising with senior stakeholders and confident engaging with management teams, advisors, and senior internal stakeholders.
