Portfolio Manager - Lending

Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Oversight & Monitoring:

    • Manage the full lifecycle of corporate loans, from origination support through to maturity or exit.
    • Monitor portfolio performance, identify emerging risks, and recommend proactive actions to mitigate credit deterioration.
    • Track key metrics such as utilization, risk-weighted assets (RWA), return on capital, and concentration limits.
  • Credit Risk Management:

    • Partner with relationship managers and credit teams to assess credit quality and ensure adherence to internal risk frameworks.
    • Support periodic credit reviews, early warning indicators, and stress testing exercises.
    • Contribute to the development of risk-adjusted return strategies and portfolio optimization initiatives.
  • Data & Analytics:

    • Leverage internal systems and tools to generate portfolio insights and dashboards for senior management.
    • Analyze trends across sectors, geographies, and client segments to inform strategic decisions.
  • Regulatory & Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards across jurisdictions.
    • Support regulatory reporting and internal governance processes related to the lending book.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Collaborate with front office, credit, finance, risk, and operations teams to ensure seamless portfolio management.
    • Present portfolio updates and risk assessments to senior management and committees.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • 8-12 years of experience in corporate banking, credit risk, or portfolio management, with a focus on APAC markets.
  • Strong understanding of loan products, credit structures, and regulatory frameworks across Asia.
  • Proficiency in portfolio analytics, financial modeling, and risk assessment tools.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience with ESG risk integration and sustainable finance portfolios.
  • Working knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and credit systems.
