ORE_ASA Actuary-Medicare
We are seeking a highly motivated Actuarial Consultant with 4+ years of actuarial experience, ideally in the healthcare space, to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is on the cusp of earning their ASA designation and brings hands-on experience in either Medicare Part D or Medicare Advantage (Part C). This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects, support client engagements, and contribute to strategic actuarial initiatives.
Perform actuarial analyses including pricing, reserving, forecasting, and risk assessment for Medicare Advantage or Part D products.
Support the development and review of bid submissions for CMS, ensuring compliance and competitiveness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, underwriting, and product development.
Assist in model development and enhancement for financial projections and risk scoring.
Interpret regulatory changes and assess their impact on actuarial assumptions and strategy.
Present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and external clients.
Mentor junior analysts and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
4+ years of actuarial experience, preferably in health insurance or consulting.
Near completion of ASA designation (Associate of the Society of Actuaries).
Experience with Medicare Advantage (Part C) or Medicare Part D actuarial work.
Strong proficiency in Excel, SAS, SQL, or actuarial modeling software.
Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Familiarity with CMS bid process and regulatory requirements.
Exposure to risk adjustment methodologies and actuarial pricing models.
Experience in client-facing roles or consulting environments.
