We are partnering with a $50bn+ global multi-strategy hedge fund renowned for its deep institutional expertise, strong long-term capital base, and collaborative investment culture. The firm is seeking a highly talented Long/Short REITs Analyst to join their New York team as they continue to scale their public markets book.
The Opportunity
You will sit within a REITs group that invests across both public and private markets, leveraging one of the industry's strongest internal knowledge networks. Joining the publics-focused side of the team, you will play a pivotal role in generating and driving alpha through fundamental long/short research across the US REITs landscape.
This seat offers exposure to a dynamic, high-conviction investment style with the flexibility to take longer-duration views while also participating in event-driven opportunities. The platform is known for its low turnover, proven retention, and commitment to long-term career development.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct deep fundamental analysis on US REITs across various sub-sectors.
- Generate differentiated long and short investment ideas for inclusion in the public markets portfolio.
- Monitor catalysts, event-driven situations, capital structure dynamics, and valuation dislocations.
- Work closely with senior portfolio managers and cross-functional teams to refine investment theses.
- Support the team's ongoing efforts to scale the public REITs book.
What They're Looking For
- 3-8+ years of experience covering US REITs (public equities focus preferred).
- A background from the buy side on long/short REITs research teams.
- Strong modeling, valuation, and bottoms-up fundamental research skills.
- Intellectual curiosity, independent thought, and a high-conviction investment mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, low-ego environment.
