About the Role
The In-house Legal Counsel will provide comprehensive legal support for the client's European operations, with a focus on contract law and commercial transactions. This role involves close collaboration with business units and senior management to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and enable strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts across multiple jurisdictions.
- Advise on contract law, commercial law, and CISG matters for transactions.
- Support business teams with risk assessment and legal strategy in complex projects.
- Provide guidance on compliance and regulatory issues relevant to the food industry.
- Collaborate with global legal teams and external counsel on cross-border matters.
- Deliver training and knowledge-sharing sessions on legal topics for internal stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- Completed law degree with 1st and 2nd State Examinations.
- Several years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Profound knowledge of contract law, commercial law, and CISG.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with assertiveness and sound judgment.
- Excellent communication skills in German and English, and ability to work in an international environment.
- Hands-on mentality, entrepreneurial thinking, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
