Head of Trade Finance & Structuring - Energy Trading Firm
Our client is a global energy trading firm that specialises in heavy fuels and crude oil, and we are seeking a Head of Trade Finance & Structuring to join the Business. This role will focus on structuring complex deals between financial institutions and buyers, and manage the Trade Financing activities including banking relationships and more.
Responsibilities for the Head of Trade Finance & Structuring - Energy Trading Firm:
- Design and implement innovative trade finance structures tailored to commodity transactions, ensuring alignment with both buyer and bank requirements.
- Cultivate and manage strong relationships with local and international banks to secure and optimize credit lines and financing solutions.
- Lead trade finance initiatives across APAC and Middle East, leveraging deep regional knowledge and regulatory understanding.
- Advise senior management on trade finance trends, opportunities, and risks, particularly in the context of the global commodities market.
Requirements for the Head of Trade Finance & Structuring - Energy Trading Firm:
- Minimum of 10-12+ years of experience in a similar field preferably in the oil and gas industry
- Strong understanding of banking credit lines, structured trade finance products (e.g., LC, SBLC, forfaiting, prepayment structures), and commodity trading dynamics.
- Ability to speak Business Mandarin will be advantageous
- Self-starter ability and strong teamwork skills, able to work in a fast paced environment.
