Selby Jennings is exclusively retained by a prominent alternative investment manager with approximately £2 billion in assets under management. The firm is seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Investor Relations to lead its investor relations function, manage a growing team, and support fundraising efforts through project management and high-quality investor communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Spearhead the investor relations function, managing and mentoring a team of 3-4 professionals to ensure consistent delivery of best-in-class investor service and communications.
  • Investor Communications: Act as a senior point of contact for investor queries, overseeing the preparation and delivery of timely, accurate, and professional responses.
  • Project Management: Lead the coordination of fundraising-related activities, managing timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional collaboration across investment, legal, and operations teams.
  • Marketing & Materials: Oversee the creation and distribution of investor-facing materials including pitch decks, DDQs, RFPs, quarterly reports, and investor letters.
  • Due Diligence Coordination: Manage the due diligence process with prospective and existing investors, including data room oversight and information flow.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership to align investor communications with broader business objectives and market positioning.
  • Market Awareness: Maintain a strong understanding of investor sentiment, industry trends, and competitor activity to inform communication strategy.

Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrated experience in investor relations, client services, or fundraising support within the alternative investment space (e.g., private credit, private equity, hedge funds).
  • Proven leadership capabilities, with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative and proactive mindset, comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
