This role sits within an established global private-markets investment platform and focuses on building and leading its dedicated capital formation function. Reporting directly to senior leadership, the successful candidate will own institutional fundraising from LP origination and relationship development through diligence, closing and long-term investor stewardship.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced fundraiser with a demonstrated capital-raising track record and the ability to originate, deepen and convert LP relationships into fund commitments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute fundraising plans across new and existing funds, including LP segmentation, outreach, roadshows and conversion through closing.
  • Originate new LP relationships and deepen engagement with institutional investors, sovereign investors, funds of funds, endowments, foundations and family offices.
  • Build and manage a disciplined fundraising pipeline, with clear ownership, next steps, expected commitments, probability and timing.
  • Lead fundraising materials, DDQs, data rooms, investor communications and annual meetings, working closely with internal teams and external advisers.
  • Build scalable capital formation processes while bringing LP feedback and market intelligence into fund positioning and fundraising strategy.

Qualifications

  • Approximately 7 to 10 or more years of relevant experience in investor relations, capital formation, private-markets fundraising, a placement agent or a closely related role.
  • Demonstrated track record of personally originating, developing and converting LP relationships into private-market fund commitments.
  • Established relationships with institutional allocators and strong knowledge of private equity or venture capital fund structures, fundraising processes and performance measures.
  • Excellent communication and investor-materials capabilities, together with strong CRM discipline and a data-driven approach to pipeline management.
  • Commercial, self-directed and hands-on, with the ability to build a function, work across internal and external stakeholders and travel internationally when required.
