Company Summary: We are currently partnered with mission-driven investment firm is seeking a Private Equity Fund Controller to the team. This firm invests in people and companies with the potential to create meaningful impact. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting and finance, with specific experience in private equity or venture capital fund operations. This role requires a detail-oriented, collaborative professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and willing to take on a variety of responsibilities.
Fund Controller Responsibilities:
- Maintain books and records for multiple investment funds and management entities in accordance with GAAP; reconcile accounts monthly.
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements, including footnotes, for investor reporting.
- Coordinate audits with external auditors, support tax return preparation, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage capital calls and distributions, resolve allocation discrepancies, and generate ad hoc reports for leadership.
Fund Controller Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in accounting or auditing, with focus on private equity, venture capital, or investment funds.
- CPA or CFA preferred.
