Exchange Fee Data Analyst
Our client are seeking a skilled Financial Data Analyst specializing in trading costs and exchange operations to join their quantitative trading firm. This role focuses on optimizing trading expenses and delivering actionable insights through comprehensive data analysis.
Core Responsibilities:
- Analyze large-scale trade datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and cost drivers across multiple asset classes
- Calculate, validate, and reconcile exchange fees and market data costs across venues and products
- Build and maintain reporting and dashboards focused on trading performance and cost attribution
- Develop scalable data models to support internal analytics and cost optimization initiatives
- Translate business requirements from trading and finance teams into data-driven solutions
- Partner with technology and trading teams to improve data quality, workflows, and reporting processes
- Support the development of visualizations and tools for end-users across the business
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years in financial services, ideally in a trading, market data or cost analytics function
- MUST have experience with exchange-traded fees
- Ideally you have worked at an exchange
- Experience with trade data and electronic trading
- Knowledge of exchange fees and pricing
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
- Understanding of capital markets and derivatives
- Good communication skills
- Team player
