Description
As a Claims Manager within the Excess Workers' Compensation team, you will oversee the full lifecycle of assigned workers' compensation claims. You will apply strong analytical and negotiation skills to evaluate coverage, analyze exposures, set reserves, guide settlement strategies, and manage litigation. The role also includes coordination with medical management, reinsurance partners, Third‑Party Administrators (TPAs), and participation in audit activities. You will work closely with cross‑functional areas such as Underwriting and Medical Management, all while operating independently and exemplifying the organization's core values. This position is well‑suited for a proactive professional with extensive multi‑jurisdictional workers' compensation expertise.
Required Qualifications
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
5+ years of workers' compensation claims adjusting experience with an insurance carrier or Third‑Party Administrator.
Experience handling workers' compensation claims across multiple jurisdictions.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and technology assets, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
