Enterprise Risk Analyst
An outstanding opportunity to join a Texas Community Bank experiencing and planning for lots of growth. They are at a stage where they are bolstering their Risk Management program across the bank and are looking to hire someone to their Enterprise Risk Management Department. This is the first hire to the team and would work directly with the Director of Enterprise Risk, who oversees risk management for the bank with the Chief Risk Officer. He is looking to bring on an analyst who will handling projects across model risk, business resilience, GRC, incident response, policy management and much more.
He is looking for someone who is highly analytical, personable and motivated to help him establish their enterprise risk management program. In return, you would gain valuable experience of risk management in banking, learn various risk areas and be able to move up as the company and risk program continue to grow.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and support internal risk evaluations in collaboration with business and risk stakeholders.
- Manage and report on ACH and Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) customer risk assessments, including compiling risk profiles and recommending ratings for approval.
- Assist the Enterprise Risk Director with various risk-related activities such as issue tracking, model risk attestations, and process reviews.
- Analyze operational and client-related risks, offering insights and mitigation strategies in partnership with business leaders.
- Provide guidance and coordination for business units participating in enterprise risk processes, including training and awareness efforts.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of risk data within governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) systems.
- Contribute to the development and validation of risk and performance metrics (KRIs/KPIs).
- Review internal policies and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Deliver training sessions and awareness programs to promote understanding of risk management practices.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risk management practices.
- Complete all required compliance training and adhere to applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in the banking or financial services industry.
- Solid knowledge of risk management frameworks and methodologies.
- Familiarity with banking operations and financial products.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
