Role Overview
The Director of FP&A will serve as a key strategic partner to the CFO and executive leadership team. The role leads financial planning, forecasting, modeling, reporting, and operational analysis. It is a hands-on, high-impact position with direct influence on financial strategy, decision-making, and overall company performance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Reporting
- Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecasting cycles
- Oversee monthly financial reporting and drive process improvements
- Prepare clear, concise executive and board-level presentations
Strategic Modeling & Analysis
- Build forward-looking financial models, scenario planning, and valuation analyses
- Evaluate financial trends, margin performance, and operational KPIs
- Support pricing strategy and margin enhancement initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain on performance insights
- Analyze manufacturing data, including utilization, labor efficiency, and inventory turns
- Translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations
M&A & Private Equity Engagement
- Support acquisition modeling, due diligence, and integration tracking
- Prepare high-quality reporting for private equity partners and the board
Tools, Systems & Innovation
- Strengthen forecasting tools, dashboards, and financial systems
- Utilize ERP, BI platforms, and AI-driven analytics to elevate decision-making
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 7+ years of progressive FP&A experience
- Manufacturing industry experience required
- Experience in a private equity-backed environment strongly preferred
- Advanced financial modeling and analytics capabilities
- Strong communicator with polished executive presentation skills
- Highly analytical, proactive, curious, and comfortable in fast-paced settings
- Exposure to AI-enabled finance tools is a plus
