As our first IT hire, the Data Architect will lead API and data integration efforts across platforms like QQ Catalyst and AgencyZoom, building scalable systems to automate quoting and client onboarding across all 50 states. Experience with Insurance Tech Platforms:
Proven hands-on experience with Vertafore products such as QQ Catalyst, AgencyZoom, and PL Rater, with a strong understanding of how these tools integrate into insurance workflows.
API Integration & Data Engineering:
Skilled in building and managing API integrations between third-party platforms and internal systems, especially for ingesting and mapping data from community banks and credit unions into quoting and CRM systems.
Insurance Domain Knowledge:
Deep understanding of insurance operations across multiple states, particularly in commercial and personal lines, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Startup Mindset & Versatility:
Comfortable being the first IT hire in a fast-paced startup environment-able to switch between strategic architecture, hands-on development, and occasional L1 desktop support as needed.
Problem Solver & Self-Starter:
Demonstrated ability to build data pipelines from scratch, identify and resolve data gaps, and work independently without heavy oversight-ideally with prior experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
Remote-Ready & Growth-Oriented:
Open to remote work, with a strong desire to grow with the company and contribute to its vision of becoming a $1B+ unicorn within 5 years.
