Credit Risk Audit Senior Manager (m/f/d)

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Credit Risk Audit Senior Manager to join an internal assurance team. This role offers the opportunity to work across credit risk and control functions, helping to assess and strengthen the organization's risk management practices. You'll collaborate with professionals from diverse backgrounds and gain exposure to key business areas, governance processes, and risk frameworks.


Responsibilities

  • Develop subject matter expertise in credit-related business processes, risk frameworks, and control environments
  • Plan and execute risk-based reviews, including walkthroughs, control testing, and data analysis to assess the effectiveness of credit risk controls
  • Identify control weaknesses and emerging risks, and provide practical, risk-aware recommendations to strengthen the control environment
  • Draft high-quality audit findings and reports that clearly communicate issues, root causes, and business impact to stakeholders
  • Engage with business and risk teams to understand key initiatives and ensure alignment with risk management expectations
  • Track and validate remediation efforts, ensuring timely and effective resolution of audit findings
  • Contribute to the evolution of assurance practices, including methodology enhancements, automation, and data-driven insights

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in internal audit, credit risk, risk advisory, or a related function within financial services or consulting
  • Strong understanding of credit risk concepts, lending products, and risk governance frameworks
  • Proven ability to analyze complex processes, identify control gaps, and assess risk exposure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and confidently
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a quantitative discipline; a graduate degree is a plus
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, CIA, or equivalent are highly desirable
