Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy - Aerospace & Defense

Washington, D.C. | Full‑Time | Senior Leadership

We're hiring a Senior Manager of Corporate Strategy to help shape the long‑term direction of a leading aerospace and defense organization. We are currently partnered with one of the largest and most well-known groups covering Aerospace, Defense, Government Contracts and Defense Technology. This role drives enterprise‑level strategy, competitive positioning, and growth initiatives that support mission‑critical national security priorities.

What You'll Lead

  • Enterprise Strategy - Develop multi‑year strategic plans, portfolio priorities, and growth roadmaps aligned with defense modernization needs

  • Market Intelligence - Analyze defense budgets, emerging technologies, geopolitical trends, and competitive dynamics

  • Strategic Initiatives - Lead cross‑functional projects that shape investment decisions, capability development, and business transformation

  • Portfolio Analysis - Evaluate business performance, identify capability gaps, and recommend investment, divestiture, or restructuring actions

  • Executive Communications - Prepare board‑level materials, strategic reviews, and decision briefs for senior leadership

  • Cross‑Functional Leadership - Partner with engineering, finance, government affairs, and program teams to align strategy with execution

What You Bring

  • 6-10+ years in corporate strategy, management consulting, strategic finance, or business transformation

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, space, or national security technology

  • Strong analytical skills: financial modeling, market sizing, scenario planning

  • Ability to translate complex technical and policy issues into clear strategic recommendations

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, economics, or related field

  • U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred:

  • MBA or relevant advanced degree

  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition, PPBE, and government contracting

  • Experience supporting M&A, partnerships, or portfolio shaping
