Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Real Estate Asset Management Analyst or Associate to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in real estate asset management, investment analysis, or a related field, with exposure to a variety of property types including office, industrial, retail, multifamily, and hospitality. This role supports the strategic oversight and performance optimization of a diversified real estate portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting

    • Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate asset performance, forecast cash flows, and support strategic decision-making.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual asset management reports for internal stakeholders and investors.
    • Analyze variances between actual and budgeted performance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Portfolio Oversight

    • Assist in the development and execution of business plans for each asset, including leasing, capital improvements, and disposition strategies.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across all property types and markets.
    • Support the annual budgeting and reforecasting processes.
  • Market Research & Benchmarking

    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform asset strategy and identify risks and opportunities.
    • Track macroeconomic and real estate trends across all major property sectors.
  • Lease & Tenant Analysis

    • Review lease agreements and analyze tenant creditworthiness and lease rollover risk.
    • Collaborate with leasing teams to evaluate new lease proposals and renewals.
  • Capital Projects & Operations

    • Support the planning and execution of capital improvement projects.
    • Coordinate with property managers and third-party vendors to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Transaction Support

    • Assist in due diligence and underwriting for acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancing activities.
    • Prepare investment committee materials and support transaction execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in real estate asset management, investment analysis, or related roles.
  • Strong financial modeling skills in Excel; experience with Argus, Yardi, or MRI is a plus.
  • Familiarity with all major property types: office, industrial, retail, multifamily, and hospitality.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with institutional investors or REITs.
  • Exposure to ESG initiatives and sustainability reporting.
  • Familiarity with real estate valuation methodologies and investment metrics (IRR, NPV, cap rates, etc.).
