We're looking for a highly motivated Actuarial Modeling Specialist to support the implementation of cutting-edge modeling standards in Moody's AXIS platform. This is your opportunity to work on high-impact projects involving Fixed Deferred Annuities (FDA), Fixed Indexed Annuities (FIA), Single Premium Immediate Annuities (SPIA), Pension Risk Transfer (PRT), and Variable Annuities (VA).
What You'll Do:
- Lead and support the integration of the latest regulatory and modeling standards (e.g., VM-22) into AXIS for a diverse portfolio of annuity products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including valuation, assumption setting, and quality assurance-to ensure models meet business and regulatory needs.
- Clearly communicate and document model design decisions, ensuring transparency and alignment with internal standards.
- Uphold rigorous model governance by adhering to established design protocols and change management processes.
What You'll Bring:
- A bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field with a strong quantitative foundation.
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation required; FSA designation achieved or expected within the next few years.
- Minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience, including 3+ years in annuity model development.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills-able to translate complex modeling concepts into clear, actionable insights.
Preferred Experience:
- Hands-on experience with VM-21 reporting standards.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, VBA, or SQL.
- Familiarity with AXIS modeling best practices and regulatory frameworks.
