Job Opportunity: Corporate Actuarial Associate
About the Role: A global reinsurer is seeking a Corporate Actuarial Associate to support their ambitious growth goals. This newly created position will assist the team in Bermuda by providing model development services and ensuring efficient production processes. The role offers excellent opportunities to collaborate with experienced actuaries across various functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop ETL processes in Milliman's Integrate platform to support Bermuda's Best Estimate Liability (BEL) production and other financial perspectives.
- Develop and maintain actuarial models in MG-ALFA, ensuring readiness for new deals and supporting Bermuda valuation and financial reporting processes.
- Test and analyze model results, document development processes, and communicate with the Bermuda actuarial team to prioritize business needs.
- Coordinate with other model developers and users for a smooth model development-to-release process.
- Support internal and external audits and regulatory exams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
- FSA with 5+ years or career ASA with 10+ years of experience in the life and annuity insurance industry.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or SQL.
- Self-starter, quick learner, able to solve complex issues independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication, technical, and analytical skills.
- Strong controls mindset, including documentation and change management best practices.
- Experience with MG-ALFA preferred.
