Role Overview
The Head of Annuity Product Innovation plays a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of annuity and wealth product offerings. This position is ideal for a forward‑thinking actuary or product leader who enjoys ownership, creativity, and influencing product strategy from concept through launch. The role partners closely with senior leadership and sales teams to design differentiated, competitive products that respond to evolving market and client needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of innovative annuity and wealth solutions, including FIA, MYGA, RILA, IUL, structured notes, and volatility‑controlled indices
- Drive product strategy from ideation to implementation, including index selection, competitive analysis, sales positioning, and target customer definition
- Partner closely with sales leadership to align product features, pricing, and positioning with distribution strategies and market demand
- Participate in carrier discussions to communicate product concepts, influence design decisions, and advance proprietary product initiatives
- Incorporate field and distribution feedback to refine product features and enhance competitiveness
- Monitor industry trends and emerging opportunities to inform future product innovation

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, or a related discipline
- ASA or FSA preferred
- 7+ years of insurance industry experience with a focus on one or more of the following products: FIA, MYGA, RILA, IUL, or structured products
- Strong background in product development, pricing, and competitive analysis
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to collaborate across functions
