AI/ML Quant Engineer
A global event-driven investment firm backed by an industry leading Hedge Fund is expanding its data and research capabilities, their looking for a full-stack Data Scientist / Engineer with direct experience supporting long/short equity strategies to join our NYC office and work closely with the investment team, including the CIO.
What You'll Do
- Build both front-end and back-end tools to support investment decision-making
- Work with large, complex datasets to uncover insights and automate workflows
- Architect scalable data infrastructure and internal APIs
- Develop dashboards, visualizations, and ML/AI-powered tools
- Prototype generative AI applications for research and automation
What We're Looking For
- 3+ Years of Buy side experience, with a focus on L/S Equities.
- Strong Python skills and experience with data science libraries
- Comfortable with front-end development and building user interfaces
- Skilled in SQL/noSQL, data wrangling, and working with large structured/unstructured datasets
- Solid understanding of statistics, ML, and NLP
- Able to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders
- High attention to detail, a collaborative mindset
