Job purpose

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Developer to lead and raise AUM in the company's Asset Management business, focusing on serving family offices and institutional clients in the GCC region. This role is designed for an individual with a proven book of clients and deep experience in wealth management, asset management, and managing high-net-worth individuals or institutional investors.

You will work closely with the Global Head of Business Development and play a critical role in driving growth by establishing and maintaining relationships with high-profile clients, expanding the company's presence in the region, and contributing to the development of tailored investment strategies in the evolving digital asset space. Your expertise in asset management and deep understanding of the GCC family office landscape will be essential in fostering relationships, executing strategic initiatives, and building a trusted reputation within the industry.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Lead and raise AUM for the asset management business in the region, focusing on family offices, institutional investors, and high-net-worth clients.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in the GCC region, including family offices, institutional investors, and senior executives within the cryptocurrency and financial services sectors.
  • Represent the company at high-level meetings, conferences, and industry events to build a network and reinforce the company's presence as a leader in the digital assets industry.
  • Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities for asset management services, including cryptocurrency investments and hedge fund strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including trading, custody, and market-making divisions, to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the company's long-term business strategy, ensuring alignment with the Board of Directors' vision.

Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in wealth management or asset management, with a proven record in managing family office relationships in the GCC region.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of the cryptocurrency and digital assets markets, including familiarity with blockchain technology.
  • Strong understanding of institutional-grade asset management, including trading, custody, and market-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to build and sustain relationships with high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful business strategies in a competitive, rapidly evolving market.
  • A deep understanding of the regulatory and compliance landscape in the GCC region, particularly in relation to digital assets and wealth management.
  • A strong network within the GCC family office and institutional investment community.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
