POSITION SUMMARY

Selby Jennings is partnering with a Wyoming-based trust company to identify a Trust Officer to support its growing fiduciary platform in Cheyenne, WY. This position plays a key role in the ongoing management and oversight of trust relationships, combining client onboarding, regulatory review, and daytoday trust administration. The Trust Officer will ensure accounts are established and maintained in accordance with regulatory expectations while delivering a high standard of client service across the trust lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee trust relationships from initial acceptance through ongoing administration and eventual closure
  • Lead client onboarding activities, including KYC due diligence, identity verification, documentation review, sanctions screening, adverse media checks, and risk classification
  • Actively participate in client acceptance and onboarding decisions to ensure alignment with internal policies and fiduciary standards
  • Partner with Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams to maintain adherence to AML, BSA, and internal governance requirements
  • Serve as a primary client contact, delivering timely, accurate, and proactive service while managing multiple relationships
  • Support trust operations such as reviewing governing documents, processing distributions, and implementing trust instructions across both directed and discretionary structures
  • Conduct periodic and annual account reviews to confirm documentation accuracy, regulatory compliance, and service consistency
  • Stay informed on Wyoming trust regulations, federal fiduciary requirements, evolving custody frameworks, and emerging trust-related products
  • Operate effectively in a dynamic environment that includes both traditional trust assets and modern digital or alternative asset classes
  • Identify exceptions, unusual activity, or documentation gaps and escalate issues to the appropriate internal teams for resolution

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of client-facing experience within financial services, with at least 1 year of trust administration or fiduciary experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex fiduciary and trust concepts clearly
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and multiple client relationships with discretion and attention to detail
  • Located in, or willing to relocate to, the Cheyenne, Wyoming area
  • Willing to work a hybrid schedule with a regular inoffice presence

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Familiarity with Wyoming trust structures, including directed, administrative, or long-term trust arrangements
  • Exposure to or strong interest in digital assets, cryptocurrency custody, or blockchain-enabled financial services
