Sr. Power Middle Officer
Company Summary: Our client is one of the world's largest independent energy and commodities trading groups. As they continue to grow, they are looking for an experienced Senior Middle Officer to support its North American power business, and work at the intersection of trading, risk, and operations.
The Senior Middle Officer will be responsible for:
- Risk reporting, risk analysis, PnL reporting, and attribution with complex power portfolios
- Improving business processes and risk systems with knowledge of ETRM systems (e.g. Endur)
- Partnering closely with front and back-office functions to resolve discrepancies and optimize workflows
- Monitor and analyze trading activity across North American power markets, ensuring accurate risk and valuation reporting
Job Qualifications:
- 5-15 years of experience in middle office, market risk, trade control, or a related function
- Advanced understanding of risk reporting and analysis, and the ability to interact effectively with traders and senior stakeholders
- Strong understanding of physical and financial power markets
- Hands-on experience with Endur
- Advanced Excel, SQL skills; experience with Python or other data tools is a plus
- Capability to work in and adapt to a team environment with changing demands
