Senior Counterparty Credit Risk Analyst
A global trading firm is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to support credit risk management activities across the Americas. This individual will partner closely with front-office teams and senior leadership to evaluate counterparties, support business growth initiatives, and strengthen risk management frameworks within a fast-paced trading environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform credit analysis and risk assessments for existing and prospective counterparties.
- Evaluate new business opportunities, market expansion initiatives, and transaction structures alongside commercial teams.
- Develop and enhance credit risk frameworks, methodologies, and monitoring processes.
- Provide risk recommendations and insights to support business and credit decisions.
- Monitor counterparty and portfolio exposures across multiple risk dimensions.
- Prepare risk reporting and presentations for management committees and senior stakeholders.
- Support governance, compliance, and risk oversight activities.
- Manage credit risk mitigation tools, including insurance and other forms of protection.
- Partner with technology and analytics teams to improve risk systems, reporting, and data capabilities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of credit risk experience within trading, capital markets, commodities, or financial services environments.
- Strong credit analysis, financial statement analysis, and risk assessment skills.
- Experience evaluating counterparty risk and managing exposures in a dynamic market environment.
- Ability to work effectively with front-office personnel and senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
