Sales Associate - DACH Region - German Fluency Required

Overview:

Our client, a prominent player in the investment management space, is seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Associate to support their growth strategy across the DACH region. This role will work closely with the regional leadership and broader sales team to strengthen client relationships, drive business development initiatives, and support operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management

  • Act as a key support to the DACH regional lead in all commercial activities.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with institutional clients across the DACH region.
  • Execute a structured client engagement strategy using a mix of in-person meetings, calls, emails, and networking.
  • Foster strong internal collaboration across departments to ensure seamless client service.

Business Development

  • Coordinate and manage roadshows and targeted events in partnership with sales, marketing, and support teams.
  • Attend client meetings and events alongside senior leadership.
  • Contribute to regional sales strategy through regular team meetings.
  • Represent the firm at relevant industry events to identify new business opportunities.

Sales Operations & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate client data and engagement records.
  • Liaise with internal teams to respond to client requests (e.g., ESG, DDQs, reporting).
  • Manage follow-ups from events and meetings, including CRM updates and feedback tracking.
  • Support the preparation of RFPs and client materials in collaboration with the sales support team.

Candidate Profile:

Essential Requirements

  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in asset management, placement agency, or a similar environment.
  • Proven track record of client engagement and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Fluent in German (written and spoken).
  • Strong project management, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Degree-qualified or equivalent.
  • Experience working with public and private funds.
