Rates Sales
Role:
- Lead client coverage for global FIs including banks, central banks, asset managers, hedge funds, and insurance companies.
- Product capability across:
- CNY/CNH interest rate swaps, government and policy bank bonds, NCDs, and repo
- HKD interest rate derivatives, Exchange Fund Bills/Notes, and structured solutions
- Cross-currency swaps and RMB internationalisation-linked products
- Deliver market insights, trade ideas, and customized strategies to institutional clients.
- Collaborate with trading, research, structuring, and DCM teams to drive cross-product opportunities.
- Mentor junior sales staff and contribute to team development and training.
- Represent the firm in industry events and client forums to enhance market presence.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements (e.g., HKMA, PBOC, SFC).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, or related discipline; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA) preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in rates sales, with a strong track record in CNY, CNH, and HKD markets.
- Deep understanding of China's onshore and offshore fixed income markets, including Bond Connect, Swap Connect, and related schemes.
- Established relationships with key institutional clients globally.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is essential; Cantonese is a plus.
- Familiarity with Chinese and Hong Kong regulatory frameworks and market infrastructure.
