Position Overview
The Director of Investments will be a senior member of the deal team, responsible for sourcing, evaluating, executing, and managing investments. This role requires strong financial acumen, transaction experience, and a deep understanding of industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, analytical, and capable of leading deals from origination through exit.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate new investment opportunities in industrial manufacturing and distribution.
- Lead due diligence efforts, including financial modeling, market analysis, and operational assessments.
- Structure and negotiate deal terms in collaboration with legal and financial advisors.
- Present investment theses and recommendations to the Investment Committee.
- Manage relationships with intermediaries, business owners, and industry contacts.
- Oversee post-close value creation initiatives in partnership with portfolio company leadership.
- Monitor portfolio performance and support exit planning and execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field; MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred.
- 7-10+ years of experience in private equity, investment banking, corporate development, or management consulting.
- Strong transaction experience, including deal sourcing, diligence, and execution.
- Deep understanding of industrial manufacturing and distribution business models.
- Excellent financial modeling, valuation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Willingness to work onsite and travel as needed to evaluate opportunities and support portfolio companies.
