Investment Operations Associate - Real Assets

A well‑established real estate and listed infrastructure investment platform is looking to add an experienced investment operations professional to support its publicly traded real assets strategies. This role sits close to the investment teams and plays a critical part in ensuring portfolio decisions are implemented accurately, efficiently, and in line with client mandates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with Portfolio Managers and Investment teams to implement investment decisions across multiple strategies and account structures
  • Serve as a day‑to‑day resource for investment teams on account‑level requirements, constraints, and operational nuances
  • Manage account cash flows and coordinate funding related activities
  • Act as a subject matter expert on portfolio guidelines and account restrictions
  • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trade compliance reviews and work with compliance partners to resolve guideline alerts
  • Review and interpret client investment guidelines as part of new account onboarding
  • Support model delivery and trade allocation processes across managed accounts
  • Monitor and manage FX forward activity for both active and passive hedging programs
  • Oversee portfolio dispersion metrics and investigate discrepancies when they arise
  • Review daily trading activity to ensure portfolios are positioned correctly for execution
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives designed to enhance efficiency, scalability, and risk mitigation

Requirements:

  • Highly detail‑oriented with a strong track record of accuracy and execution
  • Hands‑on experience creating and managing equity orders within an OMS (experience with Charles River is strongly preferred)
  • Solid understanding of portfolio compliance and guideline monitoring workflows
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw sound conclusions
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in investment operations, trading support, or a similar function
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
  • A collaborative mindset with an appreciation for diverse perspectives and inclusive team environments
  • Ability to work in a hybrid NYC office environment (4 days in‑office / 1 day remote)
