Our client is a boutique, independent investment bank based in Boston, specializing in providing M&A advisory and broader investment banking services to middle‑market and lower‑middle‑market companies. The firm is seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Analyst to join its growing team. This is an exceptional opportunity for candidates who want hands-on involvement in live transactions, direct exposure to senior bankers and clients, and the ability to work across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Support execution of M&A transactions, including sell‑side and buy‑side engagements.
Perform detailed financial statement analysis, valuation exercises, and modeling (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions).
Prepare high-quality marketing materials, including teasers, CIMs, management presentations, and client deliverables.
Conduct industry and company research across a variety of sectors.
Assist in managing due‑diligence processes and coordinating with clients, investors, and external counterparties.
Contribute to the team's business development efforts through pitch preparation and market analysis.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of direct investment banking experience.
Strong financial modeling, analytical, and valuation skills.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and intellectual curiosity.
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
