Job Summary:
We are working in partnership with a globally recognized elite boutique investment bank that is actively seeking to expand its Consumer coverage team by hiring a high-caliber Vice President in either Los Angeles or New York City. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and growing platform known for its deep sector expertise, commitment to excellence, and proven ability to execute complex, high-profile transactions.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal leadership role, overseeing the execution of live deals, managing junior team members, and supporting the development of client relationships across both public and private market participants. This position is suited for a candidate who thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment and is looking to make a lasting impact within a top-tier investment banking team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the execution of M&A transactions, including buy-side, sell-side, and strategic advisory mandates within the Consumer sector
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, contributing to business development efforts and relationship management
Oversee the preparation of marketing materials, including pitch books, Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), and management presentations
Conduct and review complex financial modeling, valuations (DCF, precedent transactions, comparables), and transaction structuring analysis
Mentor and supervise Analysts and Associates, ensuring the quality of deliverables and supporting their professional development
Collaborate closely with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives and enhance the team's market presence
Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of full-time investment banking experience with significant exposure to M&A execution, preferably within the Consumer or adjacent verticals
Proven ability to build and audit complex financial models from scratch and perform comprehensive valuation analyses
Extensive experience producing high-quality client deliverables including CIMs, pitch materials, board presentations, and industry overviews
Deep understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, and transaction mechanics
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, senior bankers, and team members
Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple live deals and initiatives simultaneously
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a collaborative and proactive work ethic
