Senior Cyber Underwriting & Product Lead (Remote)
My client is launching a new cyber insurance product line focused on the small and middle‑market, with a strong emphasis on automation, technical underwriting, and disciplined portfolio management.
This is a senior, hands‑on leadership role for an experienced cyber underwriter who wants real ownership in building a product from inception.
Responsibilities
- Lead cyber underwriting strategy, guidelines, and portfolio management
- Own coverage design, wordings, forms, and pricing philosophy
- Serve as the senior underwriting and product authority for cyber
- Help design scalable, tech‑enabled underwriting workflows
- Partner on data, tooling, and claims strategy decisions
- Contribute across underwriting, product, and strategic initiatives as the platform grows
This role is not production‑ or relationship‑driven. Technical expertise and portfolio judgment are the priority.
Ideal Profile
- 6-15+ years of cyber underwriting experience
- Strong background in small or middle‑market cyber
- Deep technical knowledge of coverage, forms, and pricing
- Proven portfolio management mindset
- Experience building or evolving underwriting guidelines or products
- Comfortable operating in a newer or developing product environment
- Marketing or distribution experience is a plus, but not required
Candidates from specialty or focused cyber carriers and platforms are especially relevant.
Location
- Fully remote
- Preference for East Coast or Midwest candidates (flexible for the right fit)
