Role Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead the European finance operations for a global retail and logistics enterprise. This role will oversee financial governance, settlement processes, and strategic planning across multiple markets, ensuring compliance and operational excellence. Mandarin proficiency is essential for effective collaboration with global teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Leadership: Drive regional finance strategy, ensuring alignment with global objectives and business growth.
- Settlement Oversight: Manage end-to-end settlement processes, including cross-border transactions, reconciliations, and compliance with local and international standards.
- Financial Reporting: Deliver accurate and timely financial statements, variance analysis, and strategic insights to support decision-making.
- Process Optimization: Implement automation and system enhancements to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
- Audit & Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and coordinate internal/external audits across European entities.
- Risk Management: Identify financial risks and implement robust mitigation strategies to safeguard assets.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with global finance teams and business units to support new initiatives and maintain seamless financial integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA or equivalent preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles in multinational environments.
- Strong expertise in financial settlement and shared services operations.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English required.
- Deep understanding of European regulatory frameworks and cross-border finance operations.
- Retail or e-commerce industry experience strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex projects across multiple geographies.
