Futures Quant Researcher (Mid-Frequency)
A Senior Quant Macro Portfolio Manager at a Multi-Strategy Fund in NYC is looking for a Futures Quantitative Researcher to join their team. The PM has enjoyed a lot of success on the platform with 10+ years of prior experience at notable firms where they have worked on systematic global futures + FX strategies. They are looking for someone with proven success in futures signal research with holding periods ranging intraday (minutes/hours) to several weeks.
The incoming QR will be welcomed into an established team (4 headcount currently) and will primarily be tasked with signal research and strategy development that can be included into the portfolio. In addition to strategy research, the QR will gain mentorship from the team lead with a pathway to gain more responsibilities within the group.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years experience in systematic futures research (buyside is strongly preferred)
- Rigorous mathematical and statistical modeling skillset
- Exposure to portfolio construction, optimization and risk related work is a plus
- Strong Python coding + data analysis experience
- Can work well in a market facing seat
