Job Title: Operations Associate

Location: Shanghai & Beijing, China

Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Associate to join our team. This role will focus on fund operations and trade operations, targeting the overseas market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trade Operations:

    • Manage trade booking, matching, and settlement processes for various asset classes including equities, fixed income, and derivatives.
    • Monitor and resolve trade exceptions and discrepancies with custodians, brokers, and counterparties.
    • Conduct T+0 trade confirmations and manage trade break resolutions.
    • Ensure timely and accurate processing of corporate actions and proxy events.
  • Fund Operations:

    • Oversee daily fund operations including NAV calculations, cash management, and reconciliations.
    • Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors, and other third-party service providers.
    • Prepare and review periodic financial and performance reports.
    • Assist in the implementation of regulatory requirements and compliance initiatives.
  • Risk Management:

    • Monitor and mitigate operational risks associated with trade and fund operations.
    • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Client and Stakeholder Communication:

    • Liaise with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operational workflows.
    • Provide timely and accurate information to support decision-making processes.

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in fund operations, trade operations, or a similar role within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and trading processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with overseas markets and international trade operations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the financial industry.
  • Knowledge of quantitative trading strategies and algorithms.
