Equity Quantitative Researcher

Most quantitative research roles focus on generating alpha. This one doesn't.

We're partnering with one of the world's most successful investment platforms to hire a Quantitative Researcher within a team that sits at the intersection of fundamental investing, portfolio construction, risk analytics, and data-driven decision making.

You'll work directly with Portfolio Managers and Investment Analysts, helping them solve real investment problems, improve portfolio outcomes, and make better capital allocation decisions. Think less signal research, more understanding what drives performance and how to make strong investors even better.

Why this opportunity?

  • Join one of the firm's highest-performing and fastest-growing investment businesses
  • Work directly with senior Portfolio Managers across global equities
  • Blend quantitative research with real-world investment decision making
  • High visibility role with direct impact on portfolio performance
  • Small, highly collaborative team where your work is seen and implemented

What you'll be doing

  • Partner with Portfolio Managers to analyse portfolio performance, risk exposures, and investment processes
  • Conduct research across portfolio construction, factor modelling, risk analytics, and transaction cost analysis
  • Use data to identify opportunities to improve portfolio outcomes
  • Build tools and analytical frameworks that support investment decisions
  • Translate complex quantitative findings into actionable recommendations for investors

What we're looking for

  • 2-5 years of experience in Quantitative Research, Portfolio Analytics, Risk Research, Investment Analytics, or a related function
  • Strong Python and quantitative skillset
  • Experience working with portfolio construction, factor models, risk models, or equity portfolio analytics
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence investment professionals
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from a top university in a quantitative discipline

This is a rare opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex investment problems, working closely with elite investors, and seeing their research directly influence portfolio outcomes.
