Software Engineer Team Lead - Platform Services
Salary: $200,000-250,000 plus annual discretionary bonus
A global trading firm is seeking a Software Engineer Team Lead to drive the development of platform services that simplify interactions between development teams and infrastructure. This role involves leading a team, hands-on development, project ownership, and technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and growth.
- Provide technical guidance, feedback, and coaching while contributing to system and architecture design discussions.
- Drive project ownership, from defining requirements to delivery.
- Engage in hands-on coding and support activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
- 7+ years of server-side development in Java, Python, Ruby, C#, or similar.
- 3+ years of experience leading engineers with a focus on mentoring and development.
- Knowledge of distributed systems and architecture design principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PaaS and Identity Access Management (IAM).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Expertise working within a Kubernetes platform a plus
