Director - Capital Management, Forecasting and Analysis

This senior leadership role oversees enterprise‑wide capital forecasting, analysis, and reporting within a large, regulated financial institution. The position leads a team responsible for capital planning across multiple time horizons and scenarios and partners closely with Finance, Risk, Legal, Regulatory, and business leadership to support capital optimization, new business initiatives, and strategic decision‑making.

The role has regular interaction with executive management and governance forums and plays a key part in shaping capital strategy, regulatory reporting, and performance analytics. Success in this position requires strong capital management expertise, cross‑functional leadership, and the ability to influence outcomes in a complex, highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead enterprise capital forecasting, analysis, and reporting across monthly, quarterly, annual, and multi‑year planning cycles
  • Oversee regulatory and external capital disclosures, management reporting, dashboards, and returns analysis
  • Partner with business and finance teams on pricing assumptions and capital requirements for new products and strategic initiatives
  • Maintain policies, standards, and procedures related to capital and returns management
  • Perform industry and peer benchmarking to inform capital optimization strategies
  • Provide capital analytics and materials for senior management, committees, and board‑level governance forums
  • Lead strategic capital initiatives, including capital build, structure optimization, and long‑term capitalization objectives
  • Manage, develop, and mentor a high‑performing team in a dynamic environment

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in financial services with deep exposure to capital management, planning, and analysis
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory capital frameworks, stress testing, and financial reporting
  • Proven people‑management and cross‑functional leadership experience
  • Excellent communication and executive‑level presentation skills
  • Strong analytical judgment, business acumen, and problem‑solving capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
