Director, Business Analytics & Insights
I am currently working with a leading financial institution on a high-impact, highly visible leadership opportunity. This role is responsible for driving the development, execution, and monitoring of the organization's demand planning and forecasting strategy, including scenario planning and performance optimization to support strategic business decisions. The position involves close collaboration with multiple departments-including marketing, credit, finance, and distribution-and includes regular presentations to senior leadership.
The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, demonstrated leadership experience, and proficiency with tools such as SQL, SAS, and Power BI. Experience in financial services is preferred, along with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation and maintenance of demand forecasting models for core financial products.
- Oversee scenario planning and sensitivity analyses to inform strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Marketing, Product, and Risk to align forecasts with business goals.
- Translate complex data into actionable insights and present findings to senior leadership.
- Monitor performance against forecasts and adjust models based on market trends and internal data.
- Drive innovation in analytics methodologies, tools, and data sources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Business; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in analytics, forecasting, or related roles, with experience in a leadership capacity.
- Strong expertise in statistical modeling, forecasting techniques, and data visualization.
- Proficiency in tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar analytics platforms.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to lead high-impact analytics initiatives.
