About the Role:
My client is looking for an experienced and driven Equity Research Specialist to join their team, focusing on the Consumer Discretionary sector. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, deep sector knowledge, and the ability to independently produce insightful research and maintain coverage of key companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough equity research and financial analysis on consumer discretionary companies, including retail, luxury, leisure, and automotive.
- Independently initiate and maintain coverage, producing detailed reports, earnings previews/reviews, and thematic insights.
- Build and maintain financial models and perform valuation analysis.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and macroeconomic factors impacting the sector.
- Engage with company management, industry experts, and clients to gather insights and communicate investment ideas.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in equity research or investment analysis.
- Strong understanding of the consumer discretionary sector, including key drivers and competitive dynamics.
- Proven ability to write clear, well-structured, and insightful research reports independently.
- Excellent financial modelling and valuation skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- CFA designation or progress toward it is a plus.
