Corporate Development Director/VP
Location: Summit, NJ or Salt Lake City, UT (Remote candidates will be considered)
Reports To: President & Chief Executive Officer
Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Corporate Development professional to lead the Bank's inorganic growth initiatives. This role is central to identifying, evaluating, and executing acquisitions of financial services and banking businesses that align with the Bank's long-term vision. The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership to drive M&A strategy and execution, while also supporting broader corporate finance and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end M&A process including sourcing, diligence, valuation, structuring, negotiation, and integration of target companies.
Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of acquisition opportunities within the financial services and banking sectors.
Build financial models and conduct valuation analyses to assess strategic fit and financial impact of potential transactions.
Prepare and present investment memos and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and the Board.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors (legal, accounting, consulting) to manage transaction execution.
Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments to inform strategic decision-making.
Support strategic planning and corporate finance initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, or a related field with a focus on financial services M&A.
Proven track record of executing complex transactions from start to finish.
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
