Specialty Benefits Program Associate

Overview

A growing insurance and employee benefits organization is seeking a Specialty Benefits Program Associate to support a portfolio of specialty health and ancillary benefit programs. This individual will serve as a key liaison between clients and internal stakeholders, helping manage product implementation, program administration, contract coordination, and ongoing client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between clients and internal teams for specialty benefit programs.
  • Coordinate with product development teams to support new product launches, enhancements, and program modifications.
  • Partner with underwriting, legal, compliance, contracts, and other stakeholders to support negotiations and program implementation.
  • Communicate implementation requirements and program details to account management and operational teams.
  • Manage cross-functional workflows to ensure successful onboarding and administration of client programs.
  • Review administrative agreements, policy documents, certificates, proposals, and marketing materials for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate activities across departments including claims, accounting, compliance, legal, and client administration.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Monitor timelines, deliverables, and service standards to ensure an exceptional client experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience within employee benefits, insurance, supplemental health, TPA, carrier, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, client service, and program administration processes.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including operations, underwriting, legal, compliance, and account management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
