Accounting Director
PE-backed insurance organization seeking an Accounting Director to support accounting and financial reporting across a growing multi-entity platform. This role will partner closely with the Controller and CFO to oversee close activities, reporting, intercompany accounting, acquisitions, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Oversee reconciliations, journal entries, and intercompany accounting
- Support financial reporting and consolidated reporting activities
- Assist with acquisition integrations and accounting projects
- Improve processes, controls, and accounting procedures
- Partner with leadership on special projects and strategic initiatives
Qualifications
- 7+ years of accounting experience
- CPA preferred
- Strong GAAP and financial reporting knowledge
- Experience with multi-entity environments and ERP systems (NetSuite a plus)
- Insurance, MGA, or related industry experience highly preferred
- M&A or acquisition integration experience is a plus
