Role Overview

As VP Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting, financial reporting, and compliance functions. You will play a critical role in supporting investment operations, managing fund structures, and ensuring the integrity of financial data across multiple entities and transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the accounting team across fund and corporate structures.
• Oversee financial reporting for investment vehicles, including quarterly and annual reports.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and investor reporting standards.
• Collaborate with investment and asset management teams to support deal execution and performance tracking.
• Manage audits, tax filings, and third-party service providers (fund administrators, auditors, tax advisors).
• Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Support capital raising efforts with financial data and investor presentations.

Qualifications

• CPA required; MBA or Master's in Accounting/Finance preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in real estate private equity, investment management, or related financial services.
• Deep understanding of fund accounting, real estate finance, and complex capital structures.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Experience with financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., Yardi, MRI, QuickBooks, NetSuite).
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.
